500kg multi-purpose induction melting furnace
The machine repair workshop of a certain factory needed a set of 500kg induction melting furnace to melt steel, stainless steel and pure copper due to repair tasks.
The 500kg induction melting furnace includes a set of intermediate frequency power supply, 1000Hz, 250kW, and two induction melting furnaces with a capacity of 500kg. Due to the different physical properties of the steel, stainless steel and pure copper to be smelted, the number of turns of the induction coil is different under the same capacity and power conditions. If three 500kg induction melting furnaces are used to respectively smelt steel, stainless steel and pure copper, this is completely feasible, but the equipment is increased and the workshop area is occupied. At the same time, there are not many tasks for smelting stainless steel and pure copper. The induction furnace utilization rate of these two metals is very low. In order to solve this problem, it is possible to melt three different metal materials without increasing the investment of equipment, but a set of 500kg induction melting furnace is used, and two induction coils for melting stainless steel and pure copper are added. When it is necessary to smelt stainless steel or pure copper, remove the induction coil from the original induction furnace for melting steel and replace it with the corresponding induction coil, and re-knot the furnace lining to smelt the corresponding stainless steel or pure copper. Since the outer dimensions of the induction coils of smelted steel, stainless steel and pure copper are the same, but the number of turns of the coil is different, it is still convenient to replace the induction coil.
The power supply of the 500kg induction melting furnace is 250kW, 1000Hz, the terminal voltage of the induction coil is 1400V, and the size of the induction coil is 550mm x 661 mm inside diameter. The main technical parameters for melting steel, stainless steel and pure copper are as follows:
Steel: heating temperature 1600 degrees, productivity 375kg/h
Stainless steel: heating temperature 1650 degrees, productivity 350kg/h
Pure copper: heating temperature 1300 degrees, productivity 400kg/h
