Points for Attention in Using High Frequency Induction Heating Machine for Guide Rail Quenching
When we use a high-frequency induction heating machine and a quenching machine tool to quench the guide rails, we need to pay attention to the following points:
a. Selection of machine moving speed Under certain conditions of other process parameters, the slower the moving speed, the deeper the hardened layer, but the production efficiency is reduced. If the moving speed is too slow, the surface hardness will be reduced, so the moving speed should be controlled within the range of 1.2~3mm/s.
b. The choice of quenching heating temperature is the key. The most suitable heating temperature for quenching should be above the austenitizing temperature, and the melting point of phosphorus eutectic below 957°C. Generally, the temperature range of 900-950°C is appropriate.
c. Quenching medium: Due to the presence of a large amount of graphite in the cast iron, the heat transfer rate is reduced, and at the same time, the effect of Si and Mn element 1 elements reduces the critical cooling rate. Therefore, the high-frequency induction heating surface quenching of cast iron rails does not require very high cooling capacity of the quenching medium. Generally, tap water is sprayed for cooling, and the water pressure is 0.1~0.15MPa.
