How to calculate the power of induction heating furnace?
Power estimation formula: P=(C×G×T)/(0.24×t×∮)
P stands for equipment power (KW); C stands for metal specific heat coefficient, and steel specific heat coefficient is 0.17G—weight of heated workpiece (kg); T stands for heating temperature (℃); t stands for working cycle (seconds); ∮ stands for equipment The overall thermal efficiency is generally 0.5-0.7, and the special-shaped part is about 0.4.
For example: a forging factory has a forging blank of Φ60×150mm, a working cycle of 12 seconds/piece (including auxiliary time), and an initial forging temperature of 1200°C.
The calculation is as follows: P=(0.17×3.3×1200)/(0.24×12×0.65)=359.61KW
Based on the above calculation, a GTR intermediate frequency induction furnace with a rated power of 400KW can be configured.
