Mold casting and continuous casting are necessary processes to convert qualified molten steel into steel semi-finished products, and are also the necessary bridge for steel to change from liquid to solid.
Mold casting
mold  casting refers to casting a qualified molten steel into a steel ingot mold to solidify it, forming a steel ingot with a good surface, pure interior, uniformity and compactness.
mold casting is divided into two types of pouring, betting (including immersion nozzle). In recent years, mold casting has been used as a way of pouring steel, accounting for only about 5% of the level, and there is still a downward trend.
Continuous casting

Continuous casting: the abbreviation of continuous casting steel, which can realize continuous production without interruption.
Initial rolling
In most cases, it is called rough rolling. It is literally explained, and the rough casting of the casting blank is slightly less precise, and the suitable rolling stock is provided for the subsequent process. In the modern production line, it is used as the hot rolling blank. In the process, the rolling mill is also called the blanking machine. Different products and process arrangements are different, and the number and arrangement of the rolling mills are different.
For die-cast steel ingots, initial rolling (and forging) is the only way to make a finished product.
Continuous rolling
Continuous rolling means that a plurality of rolling mills are continuously arranged on the same line, and the rolling stock passes through the production processes of the several rolling mills at the same time, and is generally used in the finishing rolling stage.
Continuous rolling is divided into semi-continuous rolling and full continuous rolling. After semi-continuous rolling, most hot-rolled products adopt the process layout mode of initial rolling and semi-continuous finishing rolling.

Continuous casting and rolling
The continuous casting and rolling process has been applied in the rolling of plates, strips, rods and wires, etc. Among them, CSP is a thin slab continuous casting and rolling technology, which is a cutting-edge technology in the metallurgical industry, with compact process and low energy consumption. Advantages, can produce silicon steel, high carbon steel, weather resistant structural steel, automotive structural steel and container steel and other "double high" products.
