The vacuum directional solidification furnace is a modern equipment for preparing directional solidification and single crystal parts by using a medium-frequency induction heating to melt the metal or alloy under vacuum conditions, using a specially designed holding furnace and a cooling system to form a thermal gradient. It strictly controls the temperature and alloy composition of the material. The melting furnace section has a fast melting function to minimize the burning of the elements. In order to obtain the highest temperature gradient and flattening the solidification interface, a specially designed structure is used to meet the temperature gradient requirements.
The holding furnace can be designed as a two-stage or three-stage structure, and the cooling section can be designed as a water-cooled jacket or a liquid metal having a low melting point.
Through the directional solidification furnace, it is possible to prepare high-quality turbine engine blades and gas turbine turbine blades and other castings with special structural requirements, which are not achievable in general vacuum casting.
