What are the differences between the intermediate frequency furnace and the electric arc furnace?
In industrial smelting, both medium frequency furnace and electric arc furnace can be used, but there are still essential differences between the two. This is mainly reflected in the smelting process and smelting structure. I believe that the used ones have a certain understanding. Below we introduce the difference between the intermediate frequency melting furnace and the electric arc furnace from another aspect.
1. The cost of the electric arc furnace is very high. Although the quality of the product is good, it is very expensive. Relatively adding artificial factors, equipment aging and other issues, it will affect the power consumption, and the electric arc furnace uses the power frequency. In view of this, the intermediate frequency melting furnace is relatively more efficient than the electric arc furnace, and the production efficiency is also high, and the operation is flexible, and the intermediate frequency power is used.
2, the intermediate frequency melting furnace relative to the electric arc furnace, the cost is lower than it, very suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises to use. Moreover, the medium-frequency melting furnace has a large amount of steel impurities and a high carbon content, so the refined steel is not pure. But for some less demanding steels, the medium frequency melting furnace just happens to be in line. Because the volume of the electric arc furnace is relatively large, it is generally more than 3 tons, and the steel that is trained is relatively pure, and generally only used by large-scale enterprises.
