Energy Saving Effect of Transverse Magnetic Field Heating and Solution Treatment of Austenitic Stainless Steel
According to the above analysis, the main advantage of transverse magnetic field induction heating strip is high electrical efficiency, and the electrical efficiency of the system can reach 80% ; and it is most suitable for heating non-magnetic materials whose permeability does not change with temperature. Therefore, when heating copper, aluminum, austenitic steel and alloys, it can best play its power saving characteristics.
Compared with the continuous solution treatment process of the through-type silicon-carbon rod electric heating furnace, when the austenitic stainless steel lCrl8Ni9Ti strip is solution treated, the transverse magnetic field induction heating solution treatment process has obvious energy-saving effects. Table 9-6 shows the test results of two different solution treatment processes.

At present, the solution treatment of semi-finished products and finished products of stainless steel strips is heated by a traditional resistance furnace for continuous solution treatment, which consumes a large amount of electricity every year. Therefore, the promotion and application of the new technology of transverse magnetic field induction heating and solid solution treatment is of great significance for saving electricity and reducing CQ emissions. Of course, its important prerequisite is to solve the problem of uniform temperature during transverse magnetic field heating. At present, the domestic heating of aluminum and copper strips has been solved, so it can be foreseen that the problem of uneven heating temperature in the transverse magnetic field will be solved in the near future.
