What series of induction heating furnaces are distinguished by frequency?
According to the frequency, the induction heating furnace is divided into 5 series: ultra high frequency, high frequency, super audio frequency, intermediate frequency, and power frequency. Take quenching as an example.
①The ultra-high frequency induction heating current frequency is 27 MHz, and the heating layer is extremely thin, only about 0.15 mm. It can be used for surface quenching of thin-layered workpieces such as circular saws.
②The frequency of high-frequency induction heating current is usually 200-300 kHz, and the depth of the heating layer is 0.5-2 mm. It can be used for surface quenching of gears, cylinder liners, cams, shafts and other parts.
③The frequency of the super audio frequency induction heating current is generally 20 to 30 kHz. The super audio frequency induction current is used to heat the small modulus gear. The heating layer is roughly distributed along the tooth profile, and the performance after simmering is better.
④The frequency of the intermediate frequency induction heating current is generally 2.5-10 kHz, and the depth of the heating layer is 2-8 mm. It is mostly used for surface quenching of workpieces such as large-modulus gears, shafts with larger diameters, and cold rolls.
⑤The power frequency induction heating current frequency is 50-60 Hz, and the heating layer depth is 10-15 mm, which can be used for surface quenching of large workpieces.
