    What is the difference between an intermediate frequency furnace and an electric furnace?

    Electric furnaces can be divided into resistance furnaces, induction furnaces, electric arc furnaces, etc. Intermediate frequency furnaces are types of induction furnaces divided by frequency.

    Electric furnaces generally consume more electricity, but oxygen can be blown to remove carbon, which is more convenient for carbon reduction. The electric furnace steelmaking process is short, the construction investment is small, and the floor space is small. The main raw material is scrap steel. The electric arc discharge generates heat to melt the scrap steel to produce molten steel.

    The intermediate frequency furnace saves more electricity, and it is more convenient to make different steel grades. Compared with others, the intermediate frequency furnace is more energy-saving and environmentally friendly, and has a high heat utilization rate.
