    Melting equipment used: copper induction melting furnace, thermocouple, ladle and graphite crucible.


    Preheat the crucible to dark red, add a layer of dry charcoal or covering agent (63% borax + 37% broken glass) with a thickness of about 30 ~ 50cm at the bottom of the crucible, and then add the corner residuals, waste blocks and rods. Material, and finally add pure copper.

    The additional alloying elements can be preheated on the stove, and cold materials are strictly prohibited from being added to the liquid metal. The charge should be frequently moved throughout the melting process to prevent bypassing

    The temperature rise causes the alloy to completely melt. After the alloy is fully melted, when the temperature reaches l200¡«1220¡ãC, phosphorus and copper which are 0.3%-0.4% by weight of the alloy solution are deoxidized, and the following reaction occurs between phosphorus and cuprous oxide: 5Cu20 +2P=P205+ 10Cu, Cu20 + P2O5=2CuPO3, the generated P205 gas escapes from the alloy, and the copper phosphate floats on the liquid surface, and the slag is removed to achieve the purpose of deoxidation. In addition, constant stirring is required during the deoxidation process.

    Finally, the slag is discharged, and the pouring temperature of the alloy liquid is generally 1100~l200 ¡ãC.
